It was an exciting week at the 2024 Lotte Championship, as A Lim Kim won her second event of her LPGA career. That included an ace in the third round and the win propelled her into the CME Group Tour Championship later this month.
This week, the LPGA Tour returns to Florida for the last few events of 2024. With the return to the mainland United States comes the strongest field of players in over a month. Read further for all the information of the week, and what you will find on the website for the next seven days:
Caitlin Clark and Annika Sörenstam:
This week’s event is hosted by the greatest women’s golfer ever, Annika Sörenstam. When you have a legend as a host, and a sponsor in common (Gainbridge) the stars can align for something special. This week, WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark will be playing a pro-am with two legends of the LPGA Tour, Sörenstam and Nelly Korda. There will be extended coverage from Golf Channel on Wednesday starting at 11:00 AM est. of the round and highlights.
The Annika Driven by Gainbridge:
This is the fifth playing of a November tournament at Pelican Golf Club, and the last regular season event on the schedule. Pelican Golf Club is in Bellaire, Florida and has an impressive roster of winners. In 2020, Sei Young Kim wrapped up her Player of the Year win. In 2021, Nelly Korda won in a star-studded playoff over Kim, Lydia Ko and Lexi Thompson, then won again in 2022 in a big, emotional comeback victory after health scares. In 2023, Lilia Vu put the exclamation point on her terrific breakout season.
CME Points:
This is the last week of the season for players to acquire CME Standings points. Fore-All.com will have coverage all week of players on the bubble of the top 60 and will also continue tomorrow with the history of the CME Standings.
Prediction:
Nelly Korda is rested up and back at a course she clearly loves. Though she had an injury issue that caused her to miss the Asian swing, the 2024 LPGA Player of the Year says she is back to full health. She picks up her seventh win of the season and her third win at Pelican Golf Club.
