When I was a kid, brands like Adidas and Wilson were just part of life. We wore their sneakers to school, swung their rackets at summer camp, and lived in their sweats during weekend tournaments. Back then, golf wasn’t exactly on their radar when it came to women’s fashion — and let’s be honest — women’s golf fashion wasn’t all that exciting anyway.
Fast forward to today, and it’s a completely different story.
The golf course has become a new kind of runway and women are finally being seen — not just as players, but as athletes who want to feel confident and stylish while competing (or even just enjoying a casual round with friends). Brands like GFORE helped kick open that door, with bold designs, fun colors, and an unapologetic mix of fashion and function. And now, I love seeing some of those “good old” athletic brands from my childhood stepping up and bringing their own fresh take to women’s golf.

Adidas has been absolutely nailing it lately. Their women’s golf line feels modern, athletic, and wearable — not stiff or overly traditional. The fabrics move with you, the cuts actually flatter a woman’s body, and the pieces transition seamlessly from the course to wherever you’re headed next. It’s everything I want in golf apparel: functional, but still fashionable. Their women’s golf shoe line is on point. A few of my personal favorites are the Coursecup Spikeless Golf Shoe paired with the Original Dress in Chalk White and Kelly Green and the Originals Golf Tour Terry Visor. And…how can you go wrong with the Gazelle Spikeless Golf Shoe? It comes in a ton of colors! It’s definitely worth checking out!

Wilson, too, has quietly started to make moves in this space. While many of us still think of them for tennis rackets or baseball gloves, they’ve started offering a more refined, minimalist approach to women’s golf clothing that feels both timeless and fresh. It’s simple, elevated, and most importantly — it works.

What I love most about this evolution is that these brands aren’t trying to reinvent themselves entirely — they’re pulling from their athletic roots and adding a layer of modern polish. They know that women like us want to play well, but we also want to feel good doing it. Gone are the days of boxy polos and awkward fits. Today’s golf fashion is finally catching up to the women who play the game: strong, stylish, and ready for whatever the day brings.
It’s fun watching these brands grow up with us and finally deliver the kind of golf fashion we’ve been waiting for.
