Angela Stanford has named her third assistant captain for the 2025 Solheim Cup, and it is 39-year-old Brittany Lang from Virginia.

This will be Lang’s first time in the captain’s room for the United States Solheim Cup team, she joins Kristy McPherson and Paula Creamer as assistants for the 2026 edition in the Netherlands.

“This is probably one of the highest honors I’ve had in my career. I’m excited to learn, to help and to experience the atmosphere as an assistant captain,” said Lang.

Lang played on five Solheim Cups, building up a 7-7-3 record, bringing a wealth of experience to the team room.

Lang won two LPGA Tour events in her career, most notably the 2016 U.S. Women’s Open at Cordevalle.

This group of captains is different from the expectation set by Stacy Lewis in 2024, where Brittany Lincicome and Morgan Pressel were a part of the group leading the United States. Now there likely remains only one spot in the captain’s room.
