Being just a little over halfway through the 2025 LPGA Tour season, let’s take a look back at all 18 tournaments competed this year, now with 12-10:

12. – The Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions – The season-opening event for 2025 was a solid start for the new LPGA Tour year. A Lim Kim showed supreme confidence and was genuinely fun to watch on her own for the week. There was some added intrigue with world No. 1 Nelly Korda chasing her down on the final day, an effort that came up just short. Nobody will say this was a great event, but it is the first on this list so far where the result was still in question coming up the back nine on Sunday.

11. – The Founders Cup – Next up we have the very next tournament on the schedule, The Founders Cup held in Bradenton, Florida. Yealimi Noh finally got her first win on the LPGA Tour, a win that has set up a really nice season for the former amateur superstar. This was set up as a duel between her and two-time major champion Jin Young Ko. That’s an extremely intriguing matchup, with Ko looking for her first win in years and with plenty of experience, against a player who had never finished out an LPGA Tour event before. Noh was up to the task and was impressive down the stretch to grab the title.

10. – The U.S. Women’s Open – While the U.S. Women’s Open didn’t have the most thrilling finish of the season, the result was a lot better in reality than on paper. Making the turn, there was a lot of players still in contention, including Nelly Korda and a host of LPGA Tour stars. Maja Stark simply just outlasted the competition, playing much stronger early in the back nine to build up a lead she didn’t give up. Erin Hills was the real star of the week though, showcasing terrifically in this championship and looking equal parts stunning and dangerous. The USGA’s closest open slot for the U.S. Women’s Open is in 2037, and it should be filled by this course.
