After two rounds at the 2025 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, Nelly Korda and Lottie Woad are at the top of a leaderboard that is filled with LPGA Tour stars and major champions.

Woad started the day one stroke back of leader Charlotte Laffar, and didn’t necessarily get off to the fastest start with four pars to begin the round. That all turned around on the par 5 14th hole, where she had her first birdie of the day, kick-starting an even stronger second round.

Woad birdied 17 and 18 before making the turn, where she made four more birdies. For the day, Woad was -7 overall and had birdies on all four of the par 4s at Dundonald Links. Woad hit 16 greens and needed just 28 putts on her round, and holds a two-stroke lead at -12 for the weekend.

The 21-year-old Englishwoman is making her professional debut after a decorated amateur career that led to her being the first player to qualify for the LPGA Tour through the new LEAP program. With a win, she would join Rose Zhang as recent elite amateurs to win their debut as a professional.

It won’t be easy for Woad, as world No. 1 Nelly Korda is chasing and looking for her first LPGA Tour win of the season. Korda got off to a super fast start on Friday with birdies on three of her first four holes. She made a bogey on the par 5 18th, her ninth hole of the day, but didn’t look back after that. Korda made four birdies on the back nine including her final two holes to get to -10 for the week and -6 for the round.

Korda’s ball striking struggles at Evian seem to be behind her, she’s 24/28 on fairways hit this weekend so far and 32/36 on greens in regulation.

Also in contention is Nanna Koerstz Madsen who is at -10 for the week. Koerstz Madsen had strong opening two rounds in Bradenton and Phoenix earlier this year, but didn’t finish out on top. As can be the case with Madsen, she’s been a bit more erratic off the tee with just six fairways hit in the second round, but she recovered well with 16 greens hit in regulation. Like Korda, she also shot -6 for the round.

Major champions Sei Young Kim and Hyo Joo Kim are also in the mix with Sei Young at -9 and Hyo Joo at -8.

The third round of the Scottish Open continues tomorrow morning on NBC Sports Digital.
