Ruixin Liu of China won the Aramco China Championship, her first career win on the Ladies European Tour.
Liu beat a strong field that included top-10 finishers like Ruoning Yin, Chiara Tamburlini, Casandra Alexander and Liqi Zeng.
Liu entered the final round one stroke back of Trichat Cheenglab and tied with her countrywoman and International Crown teammate Yin, who is ranked No. 7 in the Rolex Rankings. She was also fighting to fend off Solheim Cup star Alison Lee.
Liu shot -5 in the final round to get to -16 for the event, making birdies on holes six, 11 and 18 and an eagle on 16 that put her in strong position to win. It was the third best round of the day, and enough to hand her the win.
Liu is now ranked No. 87 in the Rolex Rankings and plays the majority of her golf on the LPGA Tour. Liu has made 13 cuts in 19 starts this year on the LPGA and has four career top-10 finishes.
For the Ladies European Tour, this is the final Aramco Series event of the season. The season finale event for the LET will be played in three weeks in Spain.
