On a picture perfect day in Naples, Florida, Korean Narin An jumped out to a terrific start in the first round.

An had eight birdies without a single dropped shot to take the early lead at -8, one stroke ahead of Angel Yin as it currently stands.

There’s a lot of trouble around Tiburón Golf Club, but An expertly avoided it, hitting every single fairway on the course. Though she hit a pretty average 13/18 greens, she was terrific once she had the flat stick in her hand, needing only 23 putts to complete her round.

The 28-year-old is looking for her first career LPGA Tour win, though she has still been a strong player on tour, with 10 top-10 finishes over the past three seasons.

American Angel Yin is right behind her though at -7 despite two early bogeys. Yin recovered with seven birdies and an eagle over the last 14 holes and only missed one fairway on the day.

“I mean, started out a little bit rocky just because I was trying to adjust to the golf course. The golf course is playing quite difficult with the early winds this morning, which I really like” said Yin.

Following them at the moment are Americans Marina Alex and Allisen Corpuz, who both shot -6 and sit two off the lead.
