Saturday at the 2025 Founders Cup was defined by low scores, but there was little change at the top of the leaderboard as Yealimi Noh holds a one-stroke lead over Jin Young Ko heading into Sunday.
Noh started slow with seven straight pars to begin the round, but then she turned on her a-game, which reached a new level even compared to her excellent Friday round.
Noh incredibly went -8 on her final 11 holes. Her ball striking was as close to perfect as a player can get, as she was sticking the ball close on nearly every hole. Noh hit all 18 greens Saturday, bringing her total to 50/54 for the week.
Sitting one stroke back at -17 was Jin Young Ko, who had a very solid, consistent -5 66. Ko as usual hit a lot of greens, 16 in total to bring her number up to 48 for the week. Like Noh she also started slow, not getting a birdie until the par 5 eighth. She made four on the back nine though to keep herself firmly in the event.
Ko is four strokes clear of third place, which belongs to Megan Khang, who broke Ko’s course tournament record which was set yesterday. Khang shot -9 to get to 13 under thanks to a blistering 29 on the front. Khang may need a similar effort to get into contention Sunday. She is tied with 2024 Rookie of the Year runner up Jin Hee Im.
In a tie for fifth at -12 are stars Nelly Korda and Hannah Green, who combined for 10 wins in 2024 and create the group with the most combined star power of the day.
