It has been a bit since we have done an update to the various LPGA standings, and a lot has changed. Let’s check them out here:
ROLEX RANKINGS
- Nelly Korda
- Jeeno Thitikul
- Lydia Ko
- Ruoning Yin
- Hannah Green
Because Thitikul continues to play well, there was no change from last week concerning HSBC Women’s World Championship winner Lydia Ko. Despite a few weeks off and great play by the other top three players in the world, Korda continues to be a dominant world No. 1, sitting well ahead of Thitikul. Hannah Green also jumps into the top five after a couple nice showings on the Asian swing, moving ahead of the struggling Lilia Vu.
LPGA PLAYER OF THE YEAR
- A Lim Kim
- Lydia Ko
- Yealimi Noh
- Angel Yin
- Jeeno Thitikul
To no surprise, the four winners on tour this season also take up the top four slots here. All of them have been fairly consistent to start the season as well, putting some nice distance between Yin and Thitikul for the moment.
RACE TO THE CME GLOBE
- A Lim Kim
- Yealimi Noh
- Lydia Ko
- Angel Yin
- Jin Young Ko
We are finally seeing some differences between the Player of the Year points system and the CME points. Jin Young Ko, who is neck-and-neck for the best player without a win this season with Thitikul, gets into the top five here. Also, Yealimi Noh stays ahead of Lydia Ko right now, but the points separating the two in both categories are razor thin.
LOUISE SUGGS ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
- Rio Takeda
- Miyu Yamashita
- Akie Iwai
- Chisato Iwai
- Miranda Wang
It should be to nobodies surprise that this list is dominated by the young, elite, Japanese talent on the LPGA Tour. Each of the top four spots are taken up by Japanese natives, including twins Akie Iwai and Chisato Iwai in third and fourth. Takeda has continued her remarkable consistency and feels likely to get in contention for her second-career win, already having two top-10 finishes under her belt.
