The LPGA is off and running with five events played so far. Let’s take a look at the leaders in strokes gained so far this year:
No. 1 – Jeeno Thitikul – Jeeno Thitikul doesn’t yet have a win in 2025, but she has played well every step of the way. In three starts she has two top-five finishes and hasn’t yet finished outside the top 12. While her game around the green is lagging behind, ranking No. 106 on tour, she ranks in the top 20 of strokes gained tee-to-green, strokes gained off the tee, strokes gained approach and strokes gained putting.
No. 2 – Nelly Korda – The sample size is still small for the reigning Player of the Year, but in two starts Korda has two top-10 finishes. Unsurprisingly, Korda is finding a lot of her success off the tee, she is leading in that category currently, but a nice feature to her game in the early stages of the season is her putting, where she ranks No. 8 right now.
No. 3 – Yealimi Noh – Noh has put together a season that is looking to be a real breakout so far, with a win and three finishes inside the top 11 in just three starts. The talent has never been a question with Noh, but she has started to play with a confidence not seen before. In the three ball striking categories, Noh ranks top 10 across the board, more than making up for her decent, but unspectacular play around the greens.
No. 4 – A Lim Kim – Like Noh, Kim is playing with incredible confidence right now, finishing top 20 in every event she has played in after winning the season opener. Kim is combining fantastic play off the tee with strong chipping around the greens. She ranks top 10 in strokes gained off the tee and around the green.
No. 5 – Akie Iwai – Iwai has made just two starts, a missed cut and a runner-up finish, but the numbers have been strong so far. Iwai is No. 9 in strokes gained tee-to-green and has shown some strength with the short game as well, currently sitting in the top 50 in both of those categories as well.
