Nelly Korda admitted to Golf Channel’s Tom Abbott after her round that she doesn’t have her best stuff right now. That is an understatement.

Korda was all over the place over the last few holes of her Thursday match against Jennifer Kupcho, missing fairways, taking drops and finishing her swings with one hand. It was very un-Nelly like. Fortunately for her, Kupcho was just as wild off the tee.

Regardless, Korda got a win, added to her tie against Brittany Altomare, it sets up a massive match against Ariya Jutanugarn.

Jutanugarn, like Korda a two-time major champion, won her match today against Altomare, to advance to 2-0-0 for the week. Her and Korda now have a winner take all match Friday to advance to the final 16 at the T-Mobile Match Play in Las Vegas. If the two halve the match, Jutanugarn will advance.

Korda and Jutanugarn are two modern legends of the game, which makes this match extra special. Kupcho and Altomare are both eliminated, which narrows it down to the one match.

Korda, the No. 1 in the world, is the defending champion, and generally a strong performer in match play, but don’t count out the veteran Jutanugarn, who has a lot of experience on this course and in this format.
