LPGA Tour champion and three-time Solheim Cup member Angel Yin joined the broadcast booth on Friday and showed that when it comes time to retire, she will be an excellent commentator.

Of course, Yin is only 25-years-old, and seems to be just now playing at her best on the tour. As Yin said on the broadcast “I am young, I like to admit that.”

Yin couldn’t play this week because of a foot injury, it would have been her first time eligible to play after her first-career win at the Buick LPGA Shanghai. When asked about not playing this week she responded “I wanted to play this week with a cane, but I got advised it wasn’t good for my image.”

Yin showed up in her now signature sunglasses, which she started to wear after seeing Deion Sanders press conferences at Colorado. She prepped for the occasion by “speaking to myself in the mirror a lot recently.”

After she was asked on the broadcast who the best putter on tour was, she responded with herself. She said “I’m not walking now, so I have to be good at something.”

The entire broadcast, she had the regular announcers Grant Boone, Morgan Pressel, Tom Abbott and Karen Stupples in stitches. At one point Pressel even pushed Yin about her habits in texting back, which apparently are not strong.

I hope Golf Channel took notice, because Angel Yin was not only a natural, but was phenomenally funny in the booth. She could be an instant star in the future when she decides to hang it up.
