The 2025 Augusta National Women’s Amateur kicks off the first week of April, and Fore-All.com will be bringing complete coverage of the event, including introductions to every player in the field. Today, we start with the past champions taking part and this year, there are three.

TSUBASA KAJITANI

Kajitani has certainly been the quietest winner of this event, having won in a thriller in a playoff against Emilia Migliacco, the superstar from Wake Forest. Kajitani was the first Japanese born player to ever win at Augusta National, setting the stage for Hideki Matsuyama the following week. Kajitani doesn’t have many qualifying events for world amateur points and doesn’t register on the Rolex Rankings, but did spend time as a star at Seminole State College in Florida in 2023-2024. She did not play in the event in 2024, but will be back in the field this year.

ANNA DAVIS (Above)

The 2022 winner, and still the youngest champion at this event, is in her sophomore season at Auburn currently, where she had a phenomenal start to the season, notching four top five individual finishes in the fall. She made the SEC All Freshman team in 2024 and was second team all conference. Davis also finished runner-up at the 2023 junior event at the Mizuho Americas Open and was on the United States Curtis Cup team in 2024 as well as the 2023 Junior Solheim Cup team.

LOTTIE WOAD

In maybe the most exciting edition of this event since the first, Lottie Woad came from behind to win the 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur on the final two holes. Woad, the No. 1 ranked amateur golfer in the world, should be the heavy favorite to repeat as a winner. Woad has finished top 10 as an individual in seven of her eight college starts this year for Florida State and is one of the heavy favorites to win the 2025 Annika Award. Woad also finished top 10 in last year’s AIG Women’s Open played at St. Andrews and had a top 25 result at the Chevron Championship.
