Because of heavy rain in California, the final round of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge was canceled.

Like the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the PGA Tour a few hours north, the college Spring kick-off didn’t finish the way it was expected to. Potentially nine inches of rainfall hit Palos Verdes Golf Club, the host course.

The finals had been set to be a matchup of two future SEC rivals in No. 6 South Carolina and No. 8 Texas. The tournament had already been moved up one day to try to get ahead of the weather.

No word yet on how or if a winner will be determined, but stay here for updates when they come.
