The Grant Thornton Invitational full field has officially been announced with some fun new pairings and successful returnees. The first playing of the event in 2023, won by Lydia Ko and Jason Day, was revolutionary, pairing the biggest stars on the LPGA Tour with players from the PGA Tour.
Joining the defending champions this year are 15 other teams looking to take their crown. The teams are:
- Nelly Korda and Tony Finau
- Lexi Thompson and Rickie Fowler
- Brooke Henderson and Corey Conners
- Lilia Vu and Luke List
- Rose Zhang and Sahith Theegala
- Jeeno Thitikul and Tom Kim
- Patty Tavatanakit and Jake Knapp
- Megan Khang and Matt Kuchar
- Celine Boutier and Matthieu Pavon
- Andrea Lee and Billy Horschel
- Gabi Ruffels and Nick Dunlap
- Lauren Coughlin and Cameron Young
- Mel Reid and Cameron Champ
- Maja Stark and J.T. Poston
- Jennifer Kupcho and Akshay Bhatia
Once again, the field of LPGA players is stronger than the PGA Tour partners. While there are some young stars like Theegala, Kim, Young and Bhatia, along with Grant Thornton ambassadors Fowler and Finau, most of the biggest names from the men’s side are still missing.
Regardless, this is a great and fun spotlight event for the biggest names on the LPGA Tour.
