Hannah Green fought back from a disastrous third round start at the BMW Ladies Championship, to hold onto the lead heading into the final round by two strokes.
After playing nine holes in the early morning in Korea because of the suspended second round, Green had only an hour before she had to tee off again in the afternoon. That quick turnaround may have impacted her game, as she had quick bogeys on holes three and four. After a birdie on five, she dropped another stroke on the par 5 eighth, leading to a +2 front nine.
She found her form on the back though, with birdies on 11, 14 and a beautiful eagle on the par 5 15 that came from a lengthy putt.
Though Green’s putting was a bit inconsistent, with 29 on the round, it did save her in some crucial moments, especially because her accuracy on approach was a bit down, hitting 13 greens.
Rookie, and Korean native Yu Jin Sung, sits in solo second after a spectacular third round 63. Sung made nine birdies with no dropped shots and shot 30 on the back nine. Sung hit 17 greens and needed just 26 putts. Sung will be looking for her first LPGA Tour win of her career.
The final round coverage of the BMW Ladies Championship will begin at 11:00 PM est. on Saturday night.
