After the 2024 BMW Ladies Championship won by Hannah Green, two highly ranked players saw some positive movement in the season-long CME Globe Standings.
Green moved up to the fifth spot after her third win of the season, passing Lauren Coughlin, Ruoning Yin and Atthaya Thitikul. Her previous best finish in a season was No. 18 in 2022, a mark she seems destined to top here in 2024, having had by far her strongest season yet.
Also moving up, though just one spot, was Haeran Ryu up to No. 3. Ryu continued her spectacular play in her home country of South Korea, notching her 11th top-10 finish, her sixth in the last eight events she’s played.
Of course, the top two spots stayed the same, as they have through much of the season, especially as of late. Nelly Korda remains at No. 1 with a healthy lead. Korda only has nine top 10s on the season, but six of those are wins, three more than any other player.
Lydia Ko remains in second. Despite inconsistent play early, her second half of the season has been terrific enough to land her in that position. She has three wins including a major championship on the season.
Rounding out the top five in the four slot is Ayaka Furue, who like Ryu only has one win, but it was a major. She has also added 10 top-10 finishes.
