Hannah Green stepped onto the first tee today at the Ford Championship right around the cut line. Her -3 Thursday was solid, but with how low the scores were, she was going to need something special to get into contention. Something special is exactly what happened.

While Green was solid on her front nine shooting -4 for a 62, it was nothing compared to what she would do after making the turn.

Green shot a -7 29 on the back that included birdies on the last six holes. In total for the day Green had 11 birdies and seven pars. Not a bad day at the office.

Green hit 11 fairways on the round, 16 greens and had only 25 putts. Hitting greens and hitting putts is a recipe for success that Green had in the bag.

Green is looking for her second win on the season, after a thrilling victory in Singapore a few weeks ago. This would be the fifth career victory for the major champion.
