Brooke Henderson, Hyo Joo Kim and Yealimi Noh were dominant in their first rounds at the T-Mobile Match Play, played at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, winning by dominant margins.

In the early stages of the T-Mobile Match Play, three players really stood out, Brooke Henderson, Hyo Joo Kim and Yealimi Noh.

Henderson, a two-time major champion, crushed Leona Maguire, considered to be one of the best match play performers in the world. Henderson beat Maguire 6&5, despite only making two birdies on the day. Maguire struggled mightily, going eight over par in 13 holes. Henderson looks to be in strong position heading into the second round.

Hyo Joo Kim also dominated her first round matchup against Bailey Tardy. Kim won 8&7, a record in this event for largest margin of victory. Kim played strong golf over 11 holes, making three birdies. She is playing with good momentum, coming off a win at the Ford Championship last week.

Yealimi Noh, a player with a lot of momentum, also beat Hinako Shibuno 5&4, yet another dominant victory. Noh played great match play golf, having some rough holes, but also making four birdies on her way to a win.

At the time of writing, Maja Stark has also defeated Nanna Koerstz Madsen and Peiyun Chien has pulled off an upset over Jin Young Ko.
