Two of the LPGA Tour’s biggest superstars are gearing up for a weekend showdown at the 2024 edition of The Annika driven by Gainbridge, as Charley Hull has a two-stroke lead over Nelly Korda heading into the weekend.

Hull and Korda were both in the afternoon wave after playing well on Thursday, and excelled once again in the Tampa area.

Hull, who shot -6 on Thursday, started a bit slow for her second round. After two quick birdies, she bogeyed the par four fifth hole. After four pars to end the front nine, she turned it back on at the turn. Hull birdied 10, 13 and 14 to get down to -4 for the day. She was terrific striking the ball, hitting 12/14 fairways and 15 greens on the round.

Korda matched Hull on the day at -4, mostly thanks to a terrific finish that should leave her some momentum heading into the weekend on a course she is very comfortable on. Korda birdied the last two holes of her round and was -5 after her first hole bogey. Korda, like Hull, predictably got it down with her ball-striking, hitting 13 fairways and 16 greens. She has only missed three fairways all week so far.

Sitting just one stroke back from Korda and three back from Hull are Alexa Pano, Jin Hee Im, Wichanee Meechai and Mi Hyang Lee.

Korda, the No. 1 player in the world will be paired with Hull on Saturday in what will be a superstar showdown.
