The world’s No. 1 player, Jeeno Thitikul, had a fantastic second round 63 on her birthday, in her home country of Thailand.

Thitikul was in prime form, particularly early, in round two. Like leader Somi Lee, Thitikul took advantage of the first 11 holes to get into range of shooting a 59.

Thitikul had birdies on three, four and five with pars on one, two and six. Thitikul had her biggest highlight on the seventh hole with an eagle, before yet another birdie on the par 3 eighth. She finished the front nine with a -6 30.

On the back nine, she made birdies on 10 and 11 before a long stretch of maintenance pars, before making her final birdie of the day on her last hole.

Thitikul, who turned 22 Friday, has already racked up an incredible resumé.

In her LPGA Tour career, Thitikul already has seven LPGA Tour victories, but has never won her home country event. She was the LPGA Tour player of the year in 2025 with three victories, and has been world No. 1 for over eight months. She also has five LET Tournament wins, with two of those coming in Thailand.

After two rounds, Thitikul is three strokes back of Somi Lee’s lead at -14. With Thitikul’s closing and chasing ability though, it shouldn’t be a surprise if she has the lead soon.
