Jeeno Thitikul has taken the lead heading into the fourth round at the Kroger Queen City Championship in Cincinnati. Lydia Ko is close behind though, just two strokes back.
Thitikul sits at -16 for the tournament after a -4 68 Saturday. The round started strong, with birdies on holes one and three. She added birdies on the par 5s eight and 11. She did find some struggles near the end. After a birdie on 15, she bogeyed 16 and 17, before finishing strong with a four on the par 5 18.
Thitikul was mostly saved on the greens. The usually reliable ball striker hit just nine fairways and 11 greens, but she only had 26 putts. While she missed seven greens today, she missed just three on the previous two days combined.
Ko shot -3 Saturday. After a bogey on the first hole, she played solid all round golf, making four birdies the rest of the way. Ko hit 13 fairways and had just 28 putts. Ko is looking for her third LPGA Tour win of the season. Her last two months have been magical, with the Olympic Gold Medal win and the AIG Women’s Open championship.
The fourth round kicks off on Golf Channel tomorrow at 1 PM est.
