Along with a great runner-up finish at The Annika driven by Gainbridge, Jennifer Kupcho got a nice healthy paycheck thanks to her winning the Aon Risk Reward Challenge.
The Aon Risk Reward Challenge is designed to honor the players who score the best on the strategically most difficult holes on the LPGA Tour. Every week, one hole that involves strategic decision making is selected as the Aon Risk Reward Challenge hole. Players take their two best scores from the hole on the week, and the final winner is determined by best score to par on those holes.
Kupcho came into the week trailing Minjee Lee and Jeeno Thitikul, but with those two players not in the field, Kupcho had a great opportunity to jump into the top spot. On this week’s 14th hole, Kupcho was phenomenal, counting a birdie and an eagle in order to take home the prize.
The Aon Risk Reward Challenge comes with a $1 Million prize, adding to Kupcho’s already lucrative season that included three top-10 finishes and a win at the ShopRite LPGA Classic.
Rounding out the top five for the Risk Reward Challenge were Minjee Lee, Jeeno Thitikul, A Lim Kim and Nelly Korda. Past winners include Carlota Ciganda, Hannah Green, Minjee Lee, Angel Yin and Jeeno Thitikul.
