For the second year in a row, Nelly Korda, along with Lauren Nguyen, played with WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark in the pro-am for The Annika driven by Gainbridge.

Once again the crowds were massive watching the modern women’s sports icons, both of whom were recently named as two of Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women in Sports (Korda at 21, Clark at 4). The event was also a hit on social media, with clips circulating and going viral.

This year, Clark wasn’t the only Indiana Fever star on the course, as her teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull joined as caddies. The biggest moment of the day arguably was when Cunningham stepped up to hit a shot that went directly into the crowd.

Clark had some nice moments herself, highlighted by a terrific putt from off the green. She also looked better off the tee than last year and seemed to be a bit more comfortable teeing it up in front of spectators. Korda thought so as well.

“Yeah, definitely more about having fun. Her teammates were out too. They were a lot of fun,” said Korda. “I think she was maybe a little bit more comfortable. We knew each other a little bit more so for us chitchatting was a lot of fun.”

Clark seems committed to keeping this partnership with the LPGA Tour and Korda going:

“I think it just shows how powerful supporting one another can truly be. I’ve always been a big advocate of that and supporting women’s sports. Always been a big fan, whether it’s golf or soccer or volleyball, whatever it is,” said Clark. “So it’s really fun to see her do her craft up close and how good she is and getting to play with her last year; and I played a few other rounds with her.”
