Nelly Korda and Lydia Ko share the lead at the Drive On Championship after shooting -6. It continues Lydia Ko’s hot streak after her win at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions last week.
Korda was on the course early and set the tone in the tougher part of the day. At the time nobody else shot better than -4. The hometown hero was on fire, hitting 17 greens. Korda is looking for her first win on the LPGA Tour since 2022.
Nanna Koerstz Madsen is in third and within striking distance after shooting -5. She overcame struggles with accuracy off the tee with her putter, having only 26 shots with the short stick. She is off early tomorrow at 7:49 est.
Strong ball strikers seemed to benefit most from how Bradenton Country Club was playing, as Ruoning Yin was playing off playing partner Korda’s momentum to shoot -4.
Though there is a long way to go until the final round, a leaderboard with 2022 Player of the Year Lydia Ko and the No. 4 player in the world Nelly Korda is enticing for LPGA fans.
