At the 2025 PNC Championship, Team Korda and Team Stricker each finished tied for fourth, ultimately falling to Team Kuchar.
The PNC Championship, which pairs major champions with either a parent or a child for two rounds of scramble golf, took place over the weekend with three women in the field. Izzi Stricker, playing with her father Steve, Nelly Korda, playing with her father Petr and Annika Sörenstam, playing with her son Will.
Team Annika struggled on the second day, shooting just -5 in the scramble format with just five birdies and a bogey. After a decent first day had them sixth on the leaderboard, they ended up finishing third to last in 18th place ahead of just Team Furyk and Team O’Meara.
Team Stricker had a phenomenal finish after a bit of a slow start, they shot -8 on the back nine including an eagle on the par 5 18th. For the week they shot -25, finishing in a tie for fourth.
Team Korda got started quickly with a 29 on the front nine highlighted by Nelly’s incredible hole out from a greenside bunker for eagle on the par 5 third hole. They slowed a bit on the back nine, with just four birdies, but they finished strong with an eagle on 18 to shoot 59 for the day.
All teams were well in the rear view mirror of Team Kuchar, who was fantastic, shooting a 54 with just two pars and two eagles. Their seven-stroke margin of victory for the event’s history.
