Linn Grant, the 26-year-old star from Sweden, won for the second time in her LPGA Tour career at The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican.

Grant fits the bill of winners at Pelican Golf Club near Tampa. Long hitters who can hit brilliant iron shots generally play well at the course, and Grant was in prime form throughout the week, including on her fantastic final day.

Grant went off in the final group alongside major champion Jennifer Kupcho, who she was one ahead of entering the day at -14. She wasted absolutely no time on Sunday, with a birdie on the second hole, and three more on the front nine to open up a significant lead.

On the back nine, it was all about maintenance for Grant. She wasn’t spectacular, but nobody was making a serious challenge to her lead.

Despite a -2 score on the front nine, Kupcho struggled with bogeys on holes three and nine. That led Grant to open up a significant three stroke lead. Grant hit a lot of fairways and greens, playing rock solid golf. At no point did she show a sign of weakness.

For the round, Grant hit 12 fairways and 14 greens with 27 putts, including a three-putt on the final hole when it was already wrapped up. She finished the week at -19 and shot-7 in her final round, winning by three strokes.

Grant is the first player from Sweden to win The Annika driven by Gainbridge, hosted by the greatest golfer ever from the country Annika Sörenstam. She is the fourth player from Sweden to win this season, joining Maja Stark, Ingrid Lindblad and Madelene Sagström.
