On the day that fellow Swede/ASU Sun Devil Linn Grant pulled off an 11-stroke come from behind victory, Linnea Ström may have a big (seven-stroke) comeback of her own.

Ström began the final round of the ShopRite LPGA Classic well back of leader Jenny Shin, who was at -10. But it was a fast and furious start for the 27-year-old.

Ström had four birdies and an eagle on the front nine, before taking five birdies on the back. There were no bogeys or worse on the scorecard with only eight pars. For the round in total she shot an -11 60.

Ström hit 11 fairways and 12 greens, so, solid ball-striking numbers but the putting was the true story. Ström only needed 20 putts to complete her round. It’s pretty impossible to have a bad round with those kinds of numbers.

The former Sun Devil finished up the round four strokes ahead of Jenny Shin, but that lead has been cut to three by Morgane Metraux at the time of publishing.

It would be a unique win to see someone come from this far back, and not have any TV time throughout the tournament.
