Being just a little over halfway through the 2025 LPGA Tour season, let’s take a look back at all 18 tournaments competed this year, now with 9-7:

No. 9 – The Meijer LPGA Classic – We’ve really now reached the top tier of this list, by my count there have been nine truly fantastic LPGA Tour events in 2025 that were thrilling and unpredictable. The Meijer LPGA Classic in 2025 would likely be in the top 10 at the end of some seasons, with it’s fascinating leaderboard with veterans looking to snap winless streaks like Carlota Ciganda and Lexi Thompson, mixed with younger faces like Somi Lee and Sofia Garcia. Ultimately, Ciganda won by one stroke over Hye Jin Choi, but there was about 10 players who could’ve won the event on the back nine Sunday.

No. 8 – JM Eagle LA Championship – First the elephant in the room, because of renovations to Wilshire Country Club, this year’s event couldn’t be played at one of the best venues on the LPGA schedule. That being said, this was still a thrilling installment. Ingrid Lindblad, a rookie who was a superstar in college at LSU, got her first win by one stroke over fellow rookie Akie Iwai. Iwai walked into the final hole, with Lindblad already finished, needing just a par to force a playoff, but couldn’t get it done. The leaderboard here was stacked, with big stars and a host of young, talented players and six rookies in the top 16. This was a fantastic showcase for what should be a landmark rookie class.

No. 7 – T-Mobile Matchplay – It is always hard to judge a matchplay event in a field otherwise filled with stroke play competitions. That being said, this was one of, if not the best, editions of this event in its short history. Of course, Shadow Creek is the premiere venue on the Tour schedule, and it is still incredible the LPGA Tour visits it every season. This year, the final match went to 18 holes and was a real matchup of two of the best grinders on the LPGA, Madelene Sagström and Lauren Coughlin. This event also featured the record-setting 28 hole match between Celine Boutier and Ashleigh Buhai. An overall great week and a winner that summed up the stamina and mentality needed to win this grueling tournament.
