Lydia Ko is continuing her LPGA Tour dominance in Cincinnati, leading after her second round in the Queen City Championship.
Ko is clearly demonstrating that momentum is a major key on the LPGA Tour. After winning both the Olympic Gold and the AIG Women’s Open, leading her to the LPGA Hall of Fame, she is once again in great form.
Here at the Queen City Championship, Ko is leading by one over Haeran Ryu, who just won in the FM Championship in Boston. Ko holds a one-stroke lead at -11 over Ryu through two rounds.
Ko had an unusually tidy round for her standard. While Ko is known for her scrambling ability, she had phenomenal ball-striking numbers here in the second round. Ko hit 17 greens and 13 fairways while stroking 30 putts in her round.
There is still plenty of golf to be played at the Kroger Queen City Championship in 2024, but Ko looks to be off to a dream start in continuing her strong play this season.
