Minjee Lee, the 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship winner, won her second-career Rolex Annika Major Award, designed to determine who the best player is for the season based on their performance in the five majors.
Points are awarded based on placement in each major, with the top 10 in the final standings getting points. A player must also win a major in the season to qualify for the award. Lee defeated Chevron Championship winner Mao Saigo by a narrow four points.
Lee received points in just two of the majors this year, 60 for her win at the Women’s PGA Championship and 18 for her third place finish at the Evian Championship. Despite only earning points in less than half the majors, she was the most consistent in them year long. Her worst finish was T22 at the U.S. Women’s Open, and she finished top 15 in the other two.
Saigo earned 60 points for her win at the Chevron Championship and 14 for her fifth place finish at the U.S. Women’s Open. Saigo was one stroke away from earning six additional points at the AIG Women’s Open, which would have been enough to hand her this award.
Minjee Lee is now the first player in the award’s 11-year history to win this award twice. She also won it in 2022 when she had her U.S. Women’s Open victory plus two additional top-five finishes in majors.
