54 holes wasn’t enough to determine the final eight players in the T-Mobile Match Play at Shadow Creek, as Moriya Jutanugarn defeated Brooke Henderson, Yuka Saso and Haeran Ryu.
Ryu was knocked off on the first playoff hole, with a bogey while the rest of the group had tap in pars. Jutanugarn had a birdie on the third playoff hole to knock off the other two and advance to play Leona Maguire tomorrow.
Saso had a good look at birdie on the 10th to win, but left it just short. Henderson on the same hole nearly hit a short pitch shot in.
So the final eight players are set. Leona Maguire will play Moriya Jutanugarn, Minami Katsu plays Narin An, Angel Yin takes on Nelly Korda and Rose Zhang is up against Sei Young Kim.
There’s bonus coverage just announced for the quarterfinal matches tomorrow, beginning at 1 PM est. tomorrow on LPGA.com, before it hits Peacock and Golf Channel at 6 PM est.
