Coming into the final round of stroke-play qualifying at Shadow Creek, world No. 1 Nelly Korda was sitting in a tie for 20th, needing to get to the top eight to make the weekend.

With conditions once again wreaking havoc in Las Vegas, Korda looked solid, especially on the front nine. Korda shot -3 on Thursday, including a fantastic -4 front nine. To put her scoring into perspective, at the time of her finishing she was seven strokes better than the scoring average for the day. A number that is bound to get even more impressive. She currently sits in 5th place, but being finished, she is securely in.

Korda has played well in tough conditions this season, winning two of her events in heavy wind and just last week in rain.

Korda is looking to win her fourth tournament in a row as the tournament flips to match play over the weekend. Korda is 2-1 in her Solheim Cup career playing singles matches.

The leader is currently Leona Maguire at -4, but that is far from secure with the volatility the course is playing in the afternoon wave. Nobody in the afternoon wave shot under par, while 17 players overall failed to break 80.
