While Nelly Korda didn’t win the U.S. Women’s Open this week, her runner-up finish opened the door to a major accomplishment.
Nelly Korda has now been ranked No. 1 in the Rolex Rankings for 100 total weeks in her career. Incredibly, she has been the top ranked player in the world ever since March 2024 when she won the Seri Pak Championship just outside of Los Angeles. It was the second of five consecutive wins for Korda in a year where she won seven.
While she hasn’t necessarily been as strong in 2025, she has still strung together solid results. Korda hasn’t finished outside of the top 30 this year and has had top-five finishes in seven events since August 2024.
Korda has the most weeks at No. 1 in American women’s golf history and it isn’t even close. The next closest is Lilia Vu at 28 total weeks. Korda currently holds a commanding lead over Jeeno Thitikul for the top spot. She is currently 63 weeks away from matching Jin Young Ko’s all-time record for most weeks at No. 1.
Nelly jumps back into LPGA competition this week at The Shoprite LPGA Classic, where she will try to keep her streak alive.
