For awhile now, it has been known that the new Happy Gilmore movie would star some of the biggest stars on the PGA Tour, with Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Jon Daly and even Jack Nicklaus amongst those already confirmed for the cast.

Now we have some confirmation that it won’t just be PGA Tour stars appearing in the anticipated sequel. For a brief moment in the new trailer, Nancy Lopez and Nelly Korda are both seen seemingly reacting to something on TV.

Nothing outside of this quick look is known about the context or size of their roles but I would imagine they are relatively small cameos just judging by the size of the rest of the cast, which includes Adam Sandler, Margaret Qualley, Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Travis Kelce and Bad Bunny.

The entire cast list hasn’t been revealed, so no information yet if Lopez and Korda are the only two players from the women’s game to appear.

The original Happy Gilmore was one of Adam Sandler’s breakout film roles that was released in 1996 about a hockey player turned professional golfer trying to earn money to save his grandmother’s house. Happy Gilmore 2 comes out July 25 on Netflix.
