Paula Creamer, a seven-time player for the United States Solheim Cup team, has been announced as the second assistant captain for 2026.
Creamer joins captain Angela Stanford and assistant Kristy McPherson, who was confirmed to be an assistant two weeks ago.
This will be the second time that Creamer takes on this role, as she was also one of the assistants in 2024 when the United States won the Cup for the first time since 2017.
Creamer is a 10-time LPGA Tour champion and won the U.S. Women’s Open in 2010. She brings a wealth of experience in the competition, carrying an impressive 17-9-5 record, including 5-2-0 in singles play. The United States have won six of the eight Solheim Cups that she has been involved in.
“Paula’s passion for her country and the Solheim Cup are infectious,” said Stanford. “I truly enjoyed being Paula’s teammate when we played on Solheim Cups and when we worked as assistants together in Virginia last year. Paula is a winner and a leader and somebody I want in the room every time at every Solheim Cup.”
Creamer profiles well as the next potential captain for the United States as a figure with experience both on the playing side and the leadership side. She also brings a fiery energy to the team room that is invaluable.
