With only three tournaments remaining before the CME Group Tour Championship held in Naples this fall, there are some big names on the brink of missing out on the chance for the title of Race to the CME Globe Champion.
American Alison Lee moved out of the projected field after having to withdraw from the Maybank Championship. Despite a strong start to the year, qualifying for her second-career Solheim Cup, Lee’s game has cooled considerably in recent months. She now sits at No. 62 in the standings with the top 60 advancing.
The biggest positive mover was Bailey Tardy, who despite a win early in the season, was five spots out of the top 60 entering the Maybank Championship. A top five finish though moved her up 15 spots into the top 50, and for the moment, safely in the field.
Marina Alex moved up in a positive way as well, but still has some work to do. Alex jumped six spots to No. 61 in the standings after a sixth place finish in Malaysia.
All that is left of the CME Globe season is this week in Japan, next week in Hawaii then The Annika driven by Gainbridge. Stay tuned to Fore-All.com for more information on the movers in and out of the top 60 in the season-long race.
