The newest edition of The Rolex Rankings is out and as is usually the case with major championship weeks, there was a lot of moving and shifting, here are some notable features of the newest rankings:
- Nelly Korda is still ranked No. 1 in the world for the 69th week in a row. If Jeeno Thitikul, who lost the Evian Championship in a playoff, would have won this past weekend, there would’ve been a switch for the first time since March, 2024. Korda’s lead over Thitikul is razor thin, but both are well ahead of No. 3 Lydia Ko.
- Minjee Lee replaced Haeran Ryu in the top five this week. This is Lee’s first week in the top five since April, 2024. Ryu fell to No. 7 in the world, but is still the highest ranked player from The Republic of Korea.
- Grace Kim unsurprisingly jumped 74 spots to slot in now at No. 25 in the rankings. With that she moves to the third highest ranked Australian behind Lee and Hannah Green. This puts her in prime position to represent Australia at the 2025 International Crown. Kim just missed out on playing in the event in 2023, so this will likely be her first time on the roster.
- Lottie Woad moved up 79 spots in the rankings to No. 64. After the U.S. Women’s Open this year, she was ranked No. 260. With her announcing that she is turning professional and accepting membership on both the LPGA Tour and LET, expect her to continue moving her way up.
- Celine Boutier moved up one spot in this weeks rankings, putting a bit of space between her and Charley Hull in the race to make the World Team at the International Crown as the lone European representative. Esther Henseleit and Carlota Ciganda are within striking range though with some great finishes at the next two events.
- Another strong major performance this week moved Julia Lopez Ramirez up 38 spots and into the top 200 at No. 196. The young, long-hitting Spaniard was ranked outside of the top 600 as recently as May. She’s really finding her form heading into the second half of the season.
