LPGA Tour superstar and amateur legend Rose Zhang has been announced as a host for a new AJGA event, The Fortinet Stanford Invitational.
The tournament will be hosted at Stanford, where Zhang put together a legendary two years before making the jump to the professional ranks.
Zhang wrote on Instagram today: “A complete full circle moment. The AJGA has a special place in my heart as I spent my junior golf years not only playing against the best junior golfers on a global scale, but also creating everlasting friendships and bonds.”
The AJGA is the American Junior Golf Association and is a showcase for the best golfers in the world under the age of 18. Some notable LPGA players to come from the program include Nelly and Jessica Korda, Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson, Cristie Kerr, Morgan Pressel and Stacy Lewis.
The event will take place February 16-19, 2025.
