Behind a terrific second round, Sarah Kemp took the lead after two rounds in the Ladies European Tour’s Australian Women’s Classic.
Kemp, playing in her first professional tournament since breaking her leg in August 2024, shot a second round 62 after shooting 68 on the opening day. The day didn’t get off to a strong start either, as Kemp bogeyed the second hole. She stormed back quick though, with birdies on 3,4,6,7 and 9. Kemp added four more birdies on the back to get to the -8 score.
Kemp needed only 23 putts for the round, which included 11 one putts. She hit 10 fairways and 13 greens on her round.
Sarah Kemp, at 39-years-old, is looking for her first career win on either the LPGA Tour or the Ladies European Tour. It is an incredible comeback story after missing a large portion of 2024 and the start of 2025. Kemp notably did represent Australia on the 2023 International Crown team that finished runner-up.
Two strokes behind Kemp is another player LPGA Tour fans should be familiar with, Manon De Roey. De Roey shot -7 in the second round.
