It was a crazy day with twists and turns throughout the morning, as the United States came back from a terrible front nine, to rally to a 2-2 session result, 8-4 overall in favor of the Americans.

Charley Hull & Esther Henseleit 1 UP over Ally Ewing & Jennifer Kupcho
Lexi Thompson & Lauren Coughlin 4&3 over Maja Stark and Georgia Hall
Anna Nordqvist & Celine Boutier 4&3 over Lilia Vu and Sarah Schmelzel
Quick Takeaways:
- Nelly Korda is now 3-0 in the 2024 Solheim Cup, which moves her career record to a startling 10-4-1. She is fueling so much of the United States’ success.
- Korda and Allisen Corpuz are now 4-0 in foursomes play while paired together at the Solheim Cup. This could be one of the all-time iconic pairings once it is all said and done. Corpuz and Korda’s performance on hole 14 today may be the lasting moment from this event if the USA goes on to win.
- Suzann Pettersen potentially put Ciganda out to slow the pace of the Korda and Corpuz pairing, it worked for awhile but the Americans did a fantastic job of staying patient.
- Credit to Charley Hull and Esther Henseleit for getting that point out. They put themselves in some horrible positions on the back nine, but kept grinding.
- It was nice to see Ewing and Kupcho get some momentum on the back nine, particularly Ewing, who was hitting some really lengthy putts.
- Lauren Coughlin is in tight competition for the Team USA MVP with Korda so far, she has been electric, seemingly never hitting a bad shot.
- It has been a rough Solheim Cup for Georgia Hall, who hasn’t gotten anything going, maybe a pairing with best friend Charley Hull can flip her mojo.
- Anna Nordqvist is still without question the MVP for the Europeans, earning two of their four points. She is doing everything well and paired nicely with Boutier.
- Sarah Schmelzel had a really rough day out there, but she needs to keep her mindset positive heading into Sunday, she is still a very good 2-1.
- Shocking to see no Leona Maguire in yet another session in the afternoon. Despite a bad day on Friday, she has been such a force in this competition in the past. Confusing from the Europeans.
- Stacy Lewis is sticking to her guns in not playing anyone in all five sessions, sitting Coughlin and Korda. I think it would have been a good idea to ride the hot hands, but it will be nice to get them some rest.
