Angela Stanford won the Senior LPGA Championship for the second year in a row, defeating Cristie Kerr by three strokes.

The 2024 Senior LPGA Championship played at Copper Rock Golf Course in Hurricane, Utah, was a two-horse race for much of the final two days between Kerr and Stanford. They were each at least five strokes clear of their closest competition most of the way.

Stanford, who was the leader coming into the final round, struggled on the front nine, giving up her lead to Kerr on the turn. She responded with a terrific back nine, which for the most part has been where the top players have struggled throughout the week.

Stanford shot even par on the front, with a birdie on the opening hole and a bogey on the ninth, before producing a flawless back nine card. Stanford birdied 12, 14 and 16 with no bogeys.

Kerr meanwhile turned in the type of card that we saw more of this weekend, shooting -3 on the front, but struggling on the back nine with two bogeys and only one birdie.

Stanford is the first player to win the Senior LPGA Championship two years in a row, and its also the first title defense in her professional career.
