Australian Stephanie Kyriacou went low in the morning wave at the Founders Cup, getting back in the top 10 of the leaderboard with a third round 66.
Australian women’s golf has been growing as of late, in particular this season, and Stephanie Kyriacou seems intent to join the group of elite players.
The 23-year-old has already had a solid career, with two wins on the LET, two major top-10 finishes and she was a member of the 2023 International Crown runner-up team. But on the LPGA Tour, the results haven’t been consistent with just five-career top 10 finishes in over two years.
Kyriacou had a terrific start to the tournament, shooting -6 and getting into heavy contention, thanks to only having 27 putts with 13 greens in regulation. Then came round two, where she shot +7 with three double bogeys. Saturday morning she had eight birdies with two bogeys, had just 26 putts and 13 greens hit again.
Currently, Kyriacou sits in a tie for fifth place, but eight strokes back of the leaders. Regardless of her chances to win, it does seem like a solid bet that she can have her best finish of the LPGA season.
