The European swing continues this week at Dundonald Links in Scotland for the Women’s Scottish Open. This is the start of two weeks in a row of links style golf with the AIG Women’s Open next weekend. This week has a solid field with some intriguing storylines, so read ahead to see who is most likely to win the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open:

No. 5 – Lauren Coughlin – It has been a rough stretch for the defending champion at this course, Lauren Coughlin. While she is still ranked No. 14 in the Rolex Rankings and No. 25 in the CME Standings, Coughlin has missed four out of her last five cuts dating back to May. This feels like a good chance to get back on track at a course she should be confident on. When Coughlin plays with confidence, she generally plays well.

No. 4 – Ariya Jutanugarn – I think it’s gone very underreported how well Ariya Jutanugarn has played in 2025. She has already matched her most top-10 finishes in a season since 2021 with five in only 11 starts. She has consistently worked her way into contention thanks to some strong weekend performances. She has traditionally played well in Great Britain, with wins at the Scottish Open and Women’s Open in the past, but both of those were on very different courses. Still, I think she should feel confident in her form heading into this week.

No. 3 – Nelly Korda – The No. 1 player in the world will get a win at some point, and I think against a bit of a lower field this week, she has a good chance. Korda isn’t traditionally the most consistent player on links courses, but she was fantastic at St. Andrews in 2024, so maybe she has gotten it figured out. She is playing too strong of golf, she is No. 2 in scoring average and total strokes gained on the LPGA Tour this season, to not yet have a win.

No. 2 – Lottie Woad – Nobody in women’s golf is playing stronger than Lottie Woad at the moment. She won her first professional event in Ireland, then the next week nearly won her first major, thus earning her LPGA Tour card. Now she makes her debut as a member of the tour, with a lot of pressure on her immediately. Woad seems up to the challenge though from everything we’ve seen from her in the past. I expect a strong showing for the newest member of the LPGA Tour.

No. 1 – Minjee Lee – I think Minjee Lee is just in a really special place with her golf game right now. The three-time major champion is coming off another strong performance in France and played well at this course last year despite having very little form coming in. She did have a disastrous Sunday, shooting a 78, but that isn’t much of a worry to me this season considering her better form and that she got the monkey off her back with the win in Texas a few weeks ago.
