The Annika driven by Gainbridge is back at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. This is the final chance for players to secure a top-60 CME Standings finish to make next week’s season finale, and a top-100 finish to secure their cards. Here are the five players most likely to win The Annika driven by Gainbridge:
No. 5 – Lexi Thompson – With picks sometimes, it is fun to take a chance. Lexi Thompson hasn’t played a lot recently, but she had some nice moments in the Summer. She generally has played well on this course and in her home state of Florida in general. I’m not sure I see her pulling this one out, but I do think she will be in contention on the weekend.
No. 4 – Jin Hee Im – Jin Hee Im hasn’t had a standout second season on Tour, she hasn’t won an individual tournament yet, but she has been the face of consistency. In 25 starts she has made 22 cuts and has had five top-10 finishes. She finished runner up here in 2024 and has shown solid form as of late.
No. 3 – Hannah Green – I like the way Hannah Green is trending, and I have for awhile. Coming off a three-win season in 2024, Green struggled for the first portion of the year, but is coming on strong. Green has finished top five in her last two starts, with the International Crown title sandwiched between those strong results. After a week off, it feels like this is a good week to buy big on Green.
No. 2 – Miyu Yamashita – Yamashita is starting to feel a bit like Jeeno Thitikul, where it is foolish not to pick her. Yamashita has finished in the top four in 3/4 starts, adding to her already impressive rookie season. In total she has two wins, 12 top-10 finishes and 21 made cuts in 23 events. She is one of the best players in the world who is playing the strongest golf we have ever seen out of her.
No. 1 – Nelly Korda – Good luck betting against Nelly Korda at Pelican Golf Club. No matter what happens the rest of the way out, it is impossible to classify this season from Korda as anything but a disappointment. Still, she has made the cut in all 17 events she has played and finished in the top 10 in just under half of them (8). The most compelling reason to pick her though? She dominates this golf course. Korda has won here three times, including the last two seasons. Be weary of some injury concerns, but Korda definitely is the player to beat this week.
