Despite a bogey on her final hole, American Yealimi Noh still shot 64 to tie Jin Hee Im for the lead at the Founders Cup after the second round morning wave.
Noh was machine-like, hitting every green until the final hole, and in fairly close proximity as well. A result of her 12/14 hit fairways with good distance to match.
Noh had three birdies with no bogeys on the back nine, her first nine of the day. On the second nine she really turned it on, with birdies on 3,4,5,6 and 8. For the first two rounds she has hit 32 fairways. Friday she tied the low tournament score at Bradenton Country Club.
Because Noh has been on the LPGA Tour since 2020, and made a Solheim Cup team in 2021, it can be easy to forget she is only 23-years-old. She is still looking for her first victory on the LPGA Tour.
No shocker, hitting greens is essential to strong golf, because Im also hit 17 greens Friday, with 34 for the tournament so far. The 26-year-old, who was runner-up for rookie of the year in 2024, made five birdies with no bogeys. She has made just one bogey since her first hole of the tournament.
